Chief Charles E. Wilson
Reserve Division
Chief Charles E Wilson began his service with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s office in January of 2009. Chief Wilson is the commander of the Reserve Division of the sheriff’s office. The reserve division consists of 37 citizens of Cleveland County that volunteer their time and energy to the service and protection of their friends and neighbors. The reserve division has donated over 8000 hours of service in the calendar year 2009.
Chief Wilson comes to the Sheriff’s office with over 17 years of experience. Chief Wilson has served the past 14 years with the Forest Park Police and most recently as the Reserve Coordinator with the Nicoma Park Police. Chief Wilson is a 1994 recipient of the National Police officers Hall of Fame Silver Star for Bravery award. Chief Wilson has served in patrol, investigations, interdiction, gang unit, DUI enforcement, and narcotics. He is a long time Norman resident. And resides there with his wife and 2 children.
