Joe Ann Randall

  Joe Ann is assigned to the Office of Public Integrity/Internal Affairs. She is responsible for conducting thorough and objective investigations as directed by the Sheriff concerning complaints and allegations of misconduct including criminal misconduct of employees of the Cleveland County Sheriffs Office.

Joe Ann began her law enforcement career in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1973 at Lawton Police Department as a clerk/matron. From her association with the officers she found their work to be challenging, yet never boring, and full of excitement. She was given an opportunity to attend the 120 hours of Basic Police Officer training and received certification to serve as a Peace Officer within the State of Oklahoma.

Joe Ann continued her quest to become a police officer by moving to Oklahoma City. She worked as a clerk in the Alcohol Safety Action Program (ASAP) until OCPD's hiring freeze was lifted.

She rose through the ranks from patrol officer to Lieutenant. Her most noted assignments as an investigator were in the areas Larceny, Sex Crimes, and Homicide. As a supervisor her areas of responsibilities included field operations, Narcotics, TI (now known as CSI) Property Management, Police Community Relations (DARE, PAL, Drivers Education & Crime Stoppers), and Staff Inspections.

Joe Ann holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Oklahoma City University. She is a graduate of the 123rd Session of the FBI National Academy Associates, Quantico VA. She has held numerous elected positions on the local and state levels of the Fraternal Order of Police; Secretary, State Clerk, State Trustee and State Conductor for Lodge 123.
