Chief Andrew Kidd

Chief Andrew Kidd is a native Oklahoman, and first arrived in Cleveland County as a student at the University of Oklahoma.  He has been devoted to servicing his family, community, and country and has accomplished his goals through sustained superior performance and dedication to a continuing education and training.


Chief Kidd began his law enforcement career with the University of Oklahoma Police Department in October 1978 as a Community Service Officer, in December of that year he was appointed as a police officer.  In 1981, Chief Kidd was hired as a police officer for the City of Moore Police Department.  In July 1985, was appointed as an agent of the Oklahoma Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission.  Chief Kidd left the ABLE Commission in 2003 after twenty years of service to the State of Oklahoma to support the global war on terrorism, and returned to Oklahoma November of 2008, to continue his law enforcement career.


Devoted to service to his community and country, Chief Kidd enlisted in the United States Naval Reserve in 1995, as a law enforcement security specialist.  Since September 2001, he has been individually selected to provide service as an anti-terrorism planner, confinement staff operations officer, and senior enlisted leader.  At the present time he holds the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer and has served on activity duty in Florida, Europe, and most recently in Kuwait/Iraq.  Chief Kidd has traveled throughout the area of operations for United States Navy’s Sixth Fleet and Commander of Naval Forces for Europe and Africa. 


Chief Kidd completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central State University and he has received his Master’s degree in Security Management from American Military University.  Chief Kidd is an active member of the American Corrections Association.
